"Go home traitor. It's time"

Lane Kiffin announces he is leaving the University of Tennessee after only 14 short months of dissapointment to the program.

In three short words..... I am glad!  He did not do the Orange & White justice....  Too bad his newly born son has to wear (a constant reminder) the name "Knox" for an eternity!

When Mike Hamilton, Tennessee's A.D. announced the hiring of Kiffin... I was a little unsure of the move!  I have never really resolved that feeling.

We had a season full of change...
Change many donors felt was needed.  The problem now is that.....
"We as a University" started all of this!

The whole way the University went about bringing change for the betterment of the program was WRONG!

We could ALL see that from the beginning!

Tennessee fans aren't used to losing.  We are not fair weather fans.  We stick by our "Team" &, like to think we encourage what is best for the program.  The feeling felt when walking down Cumberland Avenue after a big win... is unexplainable.  We crave the feeling of a win in Neyland Stadium & this time last year we were desperate for that natural HIGH again.

In the past year since Kiffin signed a mega contract with the University, the Volunteers have had SIX NCAA violations...  ranging from recruiting problems, crime, ...  and the list goes on.  Kiffin's contract calls for him to pay an $800,000 buyout for leaving Tennessee after only one season.

"The Rock," a giant boulder on campus located across from Frat Row normally reads "Happy Birthday", " I love you Jenny", "Keg party in the fort",  "99 problems but !%$#@ we done",
was painted with hate towards Kiffin this morning.

One of the versions read "GO HOME TRAITOR. IT'S TIME.

For those of you that don't follow the Vols closely... this was a comment mimicking a campaign slogan the University used to promote Kiffin when he was hired.

I LOOOOVE IT!

In short...  betraying Phillip Fulmer & hiring Lane Kiffin did, not accomplish the change the University was seeking.   Having known the Fulmer girls in college, I have seen first hand how loyal this family was to "our" University.  This stream of "quick" change was very hurtful to all involved!

I am ecstatic about the rumor on the streets.... stating that "several members of Tennessee's Board of Trustees have contacted former Vols coach Phil Fulmer about the possibility of becoming either athletic director or even football coach".

I am in LOVE with the thought of having the Fulmer Days back at the University of Tennessee!....

In a few short months it will be "Football Time in Tennessee" & I am looking forward to a lasting, loyal, long term coaching staff... interested in building back a Tennessee tradition!
